The foam for mast track is a must use in order to improve remote signal in the water. It fills the gaps of the track, and let the signal go through the foam towards the inside of the board.
The foam for the nose cone allows to cover any few millimeters of gap between your main unit / battery nose and your board. It reduces drag and vibration. This results in a much smoother ride.
