TakeOff - Battery grease 250gr

TakeOff – Battery grease 250gr

Salt spray and humidity attack your battery terminals faster than anything else on the setup. This eFoil battery grease is a high-grade dielectric grease that forms a persistent, waterproof barrier on the contacts, preventing oxidation and keeping power delivery at full efficiency.

It is selected specifically for high-current eFoil and Foil Assist connectors, not general marine use. Every time you plug in you get a smooth, secure connection, without arcing or terminals sticking when you disconnect. We tested a wide range of greases over several seasons before settling on this formula.

Which systems does this eFoil battery grease work with?

Any eFoil or Foil Assist system that uses high-current battery connectors. The grease is brand independent. It was developed alongside the Manta TakeOff range, and it works equally well on other manufacturers’ systems and on DIY builds using standard high-current plugs.

If your system has a battery that plugs in and gets wet, this grease belongs on the contacts.

How to apply eFoil battery grease

The job takes under a minute and only needs doing occasionally.

  1. Disconnect the battery and make sure both halves of the connector are completely dry.
  2. Wipe the contacts clean. Remove any salt crust or green oxidation before you start.
  3. Apply a thin film to the male pins. A smear is enough — the grease spreads through the connector as it mates.
  4. Connect and disconnect once to distribute it evenly, then wipe away any excess from the outer housing.

More is not better. A thin, even coat conducts nothing and seals everything; a thick blob simply collects sand.

How often should you reapply it?

For regular saltwater riding, every few weeks or whenever the connector looks dry. Fresh water use needs it far less often. Reapply any time you have rinsed the connector heavily or stored the system for a long period.

What happens if you skip it

Untreated contacts oxidise. Resistance rises, the connector heats up under load, and you lose efficiency before you notice anything obviously wrong. In the worst cases the terminals pit or weld slightly, which turns a one minute maintenance job into a connector replacement. Salt water is patient, and the connector is the part it reaches first.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as standard marine grease?
No. Standard marine greases are formulated for bearings and hardware, not for high-current electrical connections. This is a dielectric grease chosen for the currents an eFoil or Foil Assist system pulls.

Will it affect conductivity?
No. Dielectric grease is non-conductive, but the contact pressure of the connector pushes it aside where metal meets metal. It seals the surrounding surfaces against water and air.

Does it work on other brands of eFoil or foil assist?
Yes. The formula is not specific to any one system. It suits the high-current connectors used across the category, whatever badge is on your unit.

Can I use it on my remote or charger plug?
Yes. Any plug exposed to salt water or humidity benefits from the same treatment.

How long does a 250 g tube last?
A long time. A single application uses a fraction of a gram, so this size is aimed at dealers, rental centres and riders looking after several batteries. For a single system the 10 g TakeOff battery grease is usually enough.

Content: 250 grams. The workshop size, for dealers, rental centres and riders maintaining several batteries.
